EVENT DETAILS
We'll have our third monthly hack night in December. Thanks to Patent Pending (https://www.facebook.com/PolyPatentPending/) for hosting us!

This event is for newcomers as well as experienced developers. Bring your projects if you have them or just come with a computer. There'll be some of us to help newcomers get started.

We'll take the first 10-20 minutes for any demos, short talks, or presentations related to HoloLens; if you have something to show or talk about, please feel free! After that, folks can choose to work together (or by themselves) on their projects, & we can work with the newcomers to bring them up to speed.

The meetup group does not have HoloLenses, so there will only be HoloLens devices on hand if attendees choose to bring them.

If you're new to HoloLens, please download & install the developer software using the checklist here:

Two things to know if you're starting out:

If you don't have a Windows machine, we can still get you started on developing HoloLens applications with Unity, but ultimately you'll need some kind of Windows machine to build your software for HoloLens. To start with Unity, install it using the software download at https://store.unity.com/download

You need Windows Pro, Enterprise, or Education edition to run Microsoft's HoloLens emulator. However, if you have Windows Home, you can install Visual Studio & Unity, & you can still develop software for HoloLens. There are emulation options that come with Unity that should work even if you have Windows Home.
