About this event
Description: There are several kinds of equity used in the tech industry as incentive to retain employees. Some packages are more generous than others, & the kind of equity you are offered will vary. This talk will describe common questions you should ask when equity is part of a compensation package, terminology you might see, a brief description of some of the tax implications, & determining the value of the equity for negotiation purposes. The webinar will finish with a Q&A session if time allows.
About the Speaker: Ian Douglas has been a professional developer for over 25 years in various roles in the tech industry from customer support to Director level management. He's worked at early-stage startups through mid-sized companies. He has conducted thousands of interviews (real interviews & mock interviews), & has been involved in career coaching & interview preparation training for over 7 years.
