Advances towards the commercialization of fusion energy have triggered an international race. National governments are investing in distinct technical approaches to realize fusion, & with different mixes of public & private sector leadership. This event will explore the mix of cooperation & competition currently defining the international fusion landscape. Cooperation takes the form of bi-lateral relationships, & the international ITER project supported by member states worldwide. Simultaneously competition takes the form of national governments & private companies developing parallel capabilities & supply chains to commercialize fusion as fast as possible. We hope you will join us for an enlightening panel discussion with leaders in international energy policy surrounding fusion. Reception & lab tours to follow.
If you are a student & the ticket cost is a barrier to attending, please don't hesitate to reach out to engineeringevents@columbia.edu - we'd love to have you join us.
