This is the first in a 2-part series of events focused on Conversational UI/UX in general, & on building apps for the Google Assistant in particular. The date/venue for part B will be updated here prior to the event. However, here is the expected agenda:

=====================
PART A: (prior event)
======================

06:00pm / Doors Open

06:30pm / What's New In Google Assistant?
Get an overview of Google Assistant, DialogFlow & related tools, technologies & best practices.

07:15pm / Developing for Google Assistant
We'll walk through the process for designing & building a Google Assistant application. Attendees are encouraged to bring laptops to code-along or explore related code-labs during this segment.

08:00pm / There's an "Actions on Google" for that!
We'll spend 10 minutes exploring existing "Actions on Google" apps to get a sense for the domains & use cases where voice interactions are being used today. Then we'll spend 10 minutes coming up with our own ideas for what we could build (or wish we saw) for Google Assistant, & use the last 10 minutes to share a few of these ideas with the group - ideally leading to some subset of these being built in part B!

08:30pm Doors Close.
