Meet the panelists:



Tim Hsia is a graduate of West Point & was an infantry officer in the US Army. Tim is also a graduate of Stanford's Graduate School of Business & Stanford Law School.

Tim is the founder of Context Ventures, a venture fund that invests in consumer startups & also in military veteran founders. He is also the CEO & Founder of Media Mobilize & the cofounder of Service to School. Service to School is a nonprofit whose mission is To prepare transitioning servicemembers & veterans for their next chapter of leadership by helping them gain admission to the best college or graduate school possible. He likes to run, learn history, & spend time with his family.



Kiel Berry is the Founder & Managing Partner of Mission One Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm investing in frontier technologies solving for humankind's sustainability on our planet.

Most notably, Kiel built the venture arm for Grammy-award-winning rock band Linkin Park, leading investments in companies such as Lyft, Robinhood, Impossible Foods, & others. He started his career at JPMorgan Investment Banking working in Mergers & Acquisitions in New York, Johannesburg, & London, after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Economics. Kiel also studied at Harvard Business School & University College London, & went to high school in Paris, France at the American School of Paris.

He is a 2-time TEDx Keynote Speaker, has been a Mentor with Techstars & MIT Startup Accelerator, & was appointed to the Technology Advisory Boards for New York City & Delta Airlines. In his personal life, Kiel is a husband, dad, & vegan triathlete.



Paige Finn Doherty is a founding partner at Behind Genius Ventures & the author of Seed to Harvest, a children's book about venture. BGV is an early investor in early-stage future of work & future of play companies like Pallet, Beacons, Aidaly, & Aviron




Adam Besvinick is the founder of Looking Glass Capital. He has led investments in companies ranging from pre-product to Series C throughout his career & has worked closely with founders at each of those stages & beyond.

Prior to forming Looking Glass in 2019, Adam invested in Series A & later companies at Anchorage Capital Group & in seed stage companies at Deep Fork Capital. He has made seed investments in companies including Transfix, BigID, One Concern, Ease, Winnie, StatMuse, Oasis, Primer, & Rebel (acquired by Salesforce). He also has made early stage investments in NomNom (acquired by Mars), Plant Prefab, Inkbox (acquired by BIC), & Carrot.

Adam lives in New York City with his wife & daughter.




Driven by a deep interest in emerging technology, Blaine Davis has always had an affinity for venture capital. Prior to Outlander VC, he worked for various funding entities, ranging from angel syndicates to multi-billion dollar growth equity firms & multi-national banks. In each role, Blaine's hands-on approach to scaling portfolio companies & aligning venture growth with the strategies of their investors & consumers developed his knack for creating & executing strategic & operational plans.

Blaine holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University-where he concentrated in Strategy, Finance, & Entrepreneurship-and an undergraduate degree from Lehigh University. While at Vanderbilt, Blaine consulted for multiple funds in the Nashville market & ran Vanderbilt's Launching the Venture program, mentoring numerous start-ups through their initial launch & subsequent rounds of financing.
