There are a lot of dimensions to re-designing processes to meet business objectives. Often times, we lose track of clear lines around what is being suggested in a better process solution & why. It is easy to make changes that accidentally impact several dimensions which have different considerations associated with them, making it hard to maintain a clear logic or narrative with stakeholders - this makes it harder to achieve consensus within your process projects.
In this meetup we will discuss the dimensions of process ownership & process improvement. We will separate & define these concepts, as well as learn what you should consider when working with them in the context of process design. This will help you understand how to clearly explain your rationale & design decisions so that you can have more confident business process discussions!
NOTE how to find us: The WeWork entrance is on the 28th Street between Park South & Madison Ave, there you can check in & go to the 8th Floor (the main Community Floor) where the event will take place. The nearest subway stop is at 28th Street on the 6 Line & the RW Line on 28th Street & Broadway.
The New York Business Process Professionals Meetup was founded in February 2016 by Sam Chin, a process professional & consultant based here in NYC. Sam's goal was to create a space for developing the theory & frameworks of process work in both the theoretical & practical sense, & to this end he has built up a series of slide decks which outline the various topics discussed in the group. You can view a collection of all the slides from past discussions over on http://www.slideshare.net/SamuelChinPMP
