EVENT DETAILS |
Dr. Isaac V Kauvar will talk about the tools he developed for recording & analyzing cortex-wide neuronal activity & discovered a neural oscillation that appears to underlie dissociative effects of drugs such as ketamine.nDr. Kauvar is an LSRF Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University, working in the Stanford Autonomous Agents Lab, where he explores the intersection of artificial intelligence & neuroscience. His research focuses on understanding how neural networks influence behaviors like exploration & decision making, utilizing data from diverse sources such as cellular recordings in mice & AI systems. He completed his PhD at Stanford, developing neuroscience tools & uncovering new insights into neural oscillations linked to dissociative drug effects.nnPresented by: DeSciNYC & SVNnn Schedule:n7:00-8:00 PM: Networkingn8:00-8:30 PM: Main talkn8:30-9:30 PM: More chattingnnStay Connected about Future Events:nTwitter: @descinycnInstagram: @descinycnPS: Apply to be a member of the DeSci NYC group chat: https://forms.gle/AmUtotmCgWgGxWDp6
