You.com Agentic AI Hackathon: SF Edition
Search was made for humans. Agents need more.
An agent is only as good as what it can find out. Feed it stale or shallow information & the reasoning falls apart, no matter how strong the model behind it. That's the problem we work on every day at You.com, & it's the one we want you to build against for a day.
On July 24 we're taking over the AWS Builder Loft in San Francisco with 120 builders for one full day of building real agents on real web data. Walk in the morning with an idea. Walk out at night with something that runs.
You'll have the full You.com API stack to build on (Search, Research, Deep Research, & the MCP server), AWS credits & infrastructure, & the frameworks you already use. Our engineers will be in the room the whole day, not sitting in a Slack channel somewhere. If something breaks, the person who built the API is standing next to you.
Pick one of three tracks:
Real-Time Intelligence: agents that answer questions about what's happening right now
Deep Knowledge: agents that do the research a person would bill $200 an hour for
Agent Systems: agents that coordinate other agents, frameworks, & the orchestration in between
The judges pick the top five to demo live, & three teams walk away winners. Prizes for the top three include Amazon vouchers, You.com API credits, & Founders Bay VIP memberships, plus a mentorship session with the You.com leadership team & a feature across our blog & channels.
This one is built for people who already ship. Engineers, indie hackers, the folks with a side project they actually deployed. If you can build it & demo it in a day, you'll fit right in. Come on your own or bring a team of up to four, & find teammates in our Discord before the event.
How the day runs:
9:30 AM: Doors, breakfast, & registration
10:00 AM: Opening keynote & AWS welcome
10:20 AM: Guest speakers
10:50 AM: API workshops
11:35 AM: Build begins
1:00 PM: Lunch & talks
6:00 PM: Submissions close, judging begins
6:30 PM: Top 5 finalists demo
7:00 PM: Winners announced
