About the Authors:
Eileen Konieczny, RN -
Medical cannabis expert & US Navy Veteran Eileen Konieczny found her passion educatingpatients on safe & effective uses of cannabis-derived medicine from years spent in the healthcareindustry. As an oncology nurse for decades & an expert in the administration of medical cannabis,Eileen has seen firsthand its transformative effects for patients, its effects on the lives of families andcaregivers, & the sometimes-fraught world of education on the endocannabinoid system. Eileenfounded Olive's Branch, an educational consulting firm, in 2013, to fill this need.
Eileen hasfought for medical cannabis legalization nationally & was a recognized leader in the passing of NewYork's medical cannabis bill. Eileen has served on the board of directors for the Children's Health andResearch Foundation & currently serves on the board of directors for the Association of CannabisSpecialists. She is Past President of the American Cannabis Nurses Association, a clinical associate in theSociety for Cannabis Clinicians & has been involved in licensed medical cannabis operations in NewYork & Connecticut.
Lauren Wilson-
Lauren Wilson is a writer & well-rounded geeker-outer. She has built a career onacquiring & sharing knowledge: as a professional cook & culinary educator, as asurvival cookbook author, & most recently as a medical cannabis patient.
After graduating from Toronto's George Brown Chef School in 2008, she followed atrail of crumbs to Brooklyn, New York, where her culinary adventures took a turnfor the apocalyptic when she wrote The Walking Dead: The Official Cookbook & Survival Guide (2017) & The Art of Eating Through the Zombie Apocalypse: ACookbook & Culinary Survival Guide (2014).
As co-author of Healing with CBD: HowCannabidiol Can Transform Your Health without the High (2018), Lauren hopes tohelp & support those considering medicinal cannabis by offering the knowledgeand confidence they might need to give it a try.
