Visual-artist-turned-UX/UI-designer is an increasingly common career trajectory. We'll explore why this trend is happening, & examine how artistic practice involves stewardship of data sets. Whether you're an artist who'd like to pivot into UX/UI, a leader or recruiter in search of fresh approaches to product thinking, or a UXer who wants to think more like an artist in your day-to-day work, you'll come away with practical suggestions you can put into practice as soon as youd like.

Speaker bio:

Page Whitmore is a designer-ethicist & artist. Parsing data sets to identify their narrative heartbeats, she uses design thinking & co-creation to build & improve products. A strategist & empath, she lives to help organizations improve their operating processes by placing human experience at the center of innovation. In her independent practice, she treats product design as a conceptual art medium. Page holds a BA from Bard College & an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design.
