Fresh off of a $150M raise for its second fund, J2 Ventures will be joining us to give founders a peek into how the firm is actively deploying capital into startups that are selling into the government.
J2 Ventures fuels early-stage companies pioneering technologies across advanced computing, biomedical, cybersecurity, & infrastructure. These are companies that aren't necessarily purpose-built for the military (for example, J2 doesn't invest in defense tech) - but startups that can find its customers in both the private & public sectors. Their purpose is to provide these entrepreneurs with the capital to grow & the expertise to navigate the public sector as a private company.
With a team of PhD scientists, investors, combat veterans, practicing physicians, & successful entrepreneurs-the team provides unique insight & strategic value from a wide breadth of experiences & backgrounds.
Christine Keung, Partner, has had extensive experience in both the public & private sectors, including roles at Dropbox, Figma, & Bridgewater Associates. Notably, Christine played a pivotal role in launching the Paycheck Protection Program during the pandemic & served as Chief Data Officer for the City of San Jose, driving data-driven improvements to city services.
