DETAILS

Join us to explore the intersection of technology, human rights, & global harmony through the lens of ethical AI.

Background & Rationale

Technology has transformed societies across the globe, creating opportunities for connection, creativity, community & peacebuilding. Yet it has also enabled harmful practices, including technology-facilitated human trafficking-ranging from online recruitment & exploitation to the spread of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). At the same time, innovations in Artificial Intelligence (AI) present both risks & opportunities: AI can perpetuate harm if misused, but it can also be a powerful tool for prevention, ethical storytelling, cultural expression, & peacebuilding through community development which is the key to achieve peace.

This event seeks to bring together policymakers, AI leaders, peacebuilders, civil society actors, survivor advocates, & youth voices to discuss both the threats & opportunities at the nexus of technology, trafficking, community & peacebuilding.

The high level event is moderated by Tatiana Kotlyarenko member of the Human Trafficking Working Group of G20 Interfaith Forum/Praeveni
