Jerome Soucy Rousseau is a co-founder & VP of People at at FightCamp, a connected fitness company supported by Y Combinator. FightCamp now boasts over 20,000 members, who collectively have thrown more than three billion punches since its launch.
Over the course of a decade, Jerome has navigated the challenges of both rapid expansion & significant downsizing. During periods of hypergrowth, he focused on hiring efficiently without compromising standards, building fair & effective compensation systems, & preserving company culture under intense pressure. During downsizing, he managed difficult decisions while maintaining team morale & treating employees with respect. His expertise spans the entire People Operations spectrum, including recruiting, performance management, compliance, & leadership development.
Jerome merges organizational psychology with data-driven approaches to develop practical strategies that turn company culture into a competitive edge. Drawing from his extensive experience, he offers insightful lessons & effective frameworks to tackle the human aspects of building successful organizations.
