Join us for a conversation with leading scholars on how we can take urgent, responsible, & just actions to tackle the climate crisis
Smart Takes on Climate Change
Wednesday, December 8, 2021
12:00-1:00 p.m. ET
Following the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), it is clear that finding agreement on climate change action requires complex considerations, among them human impact, new technologies, & global energy needs. There is no doubt that urgent action is required but some solutions present their own dilemmas. How will the costs of green capitalism impact the pursuit of clean energy & social justice? What is the role of global governance to ensure that geoengineering does not yield harmful & unjust consequences? How can we develop sustainable & equitable modern energy systems in countries where people still lack access to electricity?
Join us as four Andrew Carnegie Fellows explore these questions in a research-backed discussion about how we can align & design a greener world to better protect all of us.
