We're excited to welcome a group of leading AI researchers to South Park Commons NYC for panel discussion on the latest AI coding agent frontiers, right from the source.
Panelists include:
Sasha Rush is an AI researcher at Cursor working on reinforcement learning for code, & a CS Professor at Cornell Tech. His research focuses on language models, efficient inference, long-context reasoning & system scalability. He previously worked at Hugging Face on open-source tools for NLP & deep learning , & has contributed to a number of open-source projects bridging research & realworld developer use. He tweets at @srush_nlp.
Soumith Chintala is an AI researcher & former software engineer at Meta. He co-founded the open-source deep learning framework PyTorch, & has contributed to a long list of projects across generative AI, open-source software, robotics, computer vision & more.
Jonathan Frankle is Chief AI Scientist at Databricks, where he leads the AI research team toward the goal of bringing the latest advances in large language models, computer vision, & reinforcement learning to Databricks' tens of thousands of enterprise customers. He arrived via Databricks' $1.3B acquisition of MosaicML, which he co-founded & led as Chief Scientist. He earned his PhD at MIT, where he empirically studied deep learning, specifically the properties of sparse networks that allow them to train effectively (his "Lottery Ticket Hypothesis" - ICLR Best Paper). He earned his BSE & MSE in computer science at Princeton.
