Talk Abstracts:
Machine Learning for Ecommerce Advertising by Jordy Kieto, Machine Learning Engineer at Pepsi: E-Commerce Market Attribution is a framework designed to determine how advertising / marketing affects sales across E-Commerce platforms. Corporations spend millions of dollars advertising on platforms such as Amazon & Instacart. This process is often done manually, & we're often blind to the impact of our marketing actions. Our neural network quantifies the multiplicative effect of specific ads on sales for specific products, & also allows us to calculate the ROI for particular actions, telling us the optimal amount to spend.
Speaker bios:
Jordy Kieto is a Machine Learning Engineer at Pepsico & Data Scientist at Columbia University. Previously, he worked as a Software Engineer in Toronto before switching into Data Science. He studied English & Drama during university, & made the transition into tech through self-study & attending hackathons. This passion for the liberal arts has translated into a desire to ethically use data for bettering lives.
