BeyondCorp: Context-aware access at Google & beyond
BeyondCorp began as an internal Google initiative to enable every employee to work from untrusted networks without the use of a VPN. BeyondCorp is used by most Googlers every day, to provide user- & device-based authentication & authorization for Google's core infrastructure.
As threats evolve our access models must evolve as well. Come to hear how Google abandoned its own VPN & perimeter-based security, then stay to see how other companies have followed suit & adopted context-aware access models. This new way of thinking about access requires new rules & new policies.
