Consumers now expect digital experiences to exceed face-to-face experiences. Recent studies show that 80% of people have deleted a mobile app if they faced problems with its performance. This abandonment rate impacts the digital transformations that many companies are going through. In this talk, you will learn how performance impacts the mobile user experience, the differences between web & mobile apps, what you need to look for when evaluating the performance of your app in mobile, & how to start testing mobile performance earlier in the dev cycle.

Sofia Palamarchuk (@sopalamarchuk) is a Director & Board Member of software testing services company, Abstracta, & the co-founder & CEO of Apptim. After working as a performance engineer for a couple of years, in 2015, she led Abstractas expansion to the United States, heading up business development & working with companies like Shutterfly, CA Technologies, & Singularity University to help them create reliable & robust technologies. After seeing the challenges that mobile development teams face, in 2019, she embarked on a mission to transform the way global mobile teams create quality apps. When shes not busy leading a startup, you can find her kitesurfing or supporting projects that promote more women in technology.
