In this session, Scott Jehl will share how web components & other complementary standards can help us move beyond the performance bottlenecks of the last decade.
For over two decades Scott has worked at the intersection of creative design & front-end technology, leading projects for some of the Web's most iconic brands. Scott is best known for his work within the web community, having led large open source projects, planned & landed standard features in browsers, written for a variety of publications, & presented at many conferences around the world. These days, he is an engineer at Squarespace in New York City, where his team oversees the performance & accessibility of millions of websites. Scott is the creator of the Web Components Demystified online course (2024), author of Responsible Responsive Design (2014, A Book Apart), & co-author of Designing with Progressive Enhancement (2010, New Riders).
We will have food & drinks & as always, we are going to have geekaways with geeky prizes provided by our sponsors.
