"Who is Alex?", you ask? Alex Fair has been bring the Health 2.0 Community together here since 2010 with over 180 events & countless newsletters. He started MedStartr.com in 2012 & running healthcare innovation contests & Open Innovation programs for HHS, AMA, AHA, Takeda, New Orleans, HP, J&J, AMIA,... in 2013. Finally, after helping hundreds of companies get formed, found & funded faster he opened his first venture fund in 2017 & his second in 2019. MedStartr now underwrites all the events & our staff & our portfolio startup founders like the amazing Avish Nessavier (https://www.linkedin.com/in/avishanessaiver/) of Biyra Biotech help make all the magic happen in the group.
As anyone who knows Alex (as most of your do) knows, his favorite thing is seeing the best new ideas in healthcare, so we will also have a giant pitch contest!
