Amanda Frankel is a Democratic candidate for Congress in New Yorks 10th congressional district, which includes Manhattan (western half) & Brooklyn (Borough Park, Kensington, parts of Bensonhurst, Bay Ridge, & Midwood). While Amanda has been working in the private sector since graduating with an Economics degree, civic action has always been a part of her life -- from canvassing for campaigns she believes in, to working on GOTV initiatives, & teaching financial literacy to single moms in her neighborhood. Her values guided her away from her job on Wall Street & toward emerging tech, where shes been able to mentor companies with altruistic missions, support diversity, & uplift other women. As a veteran of the cryptocurrency & blockchain sector, she believes in the value of using new technologies to solve societys pressing issues, from empowering economic inclusion to tackling climate change head on.
