City of Tomorrow-now in its third consecutive year-unites key players & innovators from the worlds of architecture, real estate & interior design for an incomparable two-day symposium with a host of interactive workshops & panel discussions on timely & provocative topics.
Opening night features keynote conversations with the world's most esteemed architects including Annabelle Selldorf & Rafael Violy, as well as the leaders responsible for ensuring our City-its buildings, infrastructure, transportation, & public places-will be viable & thriving for future generations.
On Saturday, curate your day by visiting a selection of panels occurring in different venues throughout 92Y. Chefs Thomas Keller & Missy Robbins will talk innovative culinary outposts & how they help anchor neighborhoods, while design doyenne Wendy Goodman leads a panel of AD 100 interior designers including Kelly Behun, Alexandra Champalimaud, & Carl D'Aquino. We'll explore topics such as how nature is architecture's new muse while wellness is design's new one; co-living & co-working in a changing marketplace; reclaiming & transforming city streets; the future of retail (yes, there is one); the place of art in place-making; building a more resilient New York; urban food halls & markets; technology disrupting how we procure, purchase & live in our homes; the best of new development; a look at our islands (what's happening on them will surprise you); robots for the home; & much more.
