DETAILS

The workforce development sector plays a critical role in supporting individuals & communities, but this vital work often comes at a cost. Workforce practitioners face high caseloads, complex client needs, & systemic challenges that contribute to elevated stress levels, burnout, & turnover. These pressures, compounded by persistent issues like pay inequity, representation gaps in leadership, & the enduring impacts of the pandemic, hinder the ability to sustain a healthy & effective workforce.nWe want to co-design strategies to create a workforce system that prioritizes the well-being of staff & clients.nJoin Corporation for a Skilled Workforce (CSW) & Workforce Professionals Training Institute (WPTI), in collaboration with NYCETC, for the launch of a new listening & co-design series. During this session, well explore these challenges, gather insights from workforce professionals, & co-design actionable strategies to build a healthier, more resilient workforce.nWhat to Expectn1 pm - 2 pm: Networking Lunchn2 pm - 4 pm: Facilitated Discussion & ActivitiesnAttendees will work in groups of 6-8 peers occupying similar positions, completing a series of interactive activities.nWith support from WPTI & CSW facilitators, groups will assess the current wellness challenges & opportunities within the workforce sector.
