ABSTRACT:
As we enter this new decade with unprecedented levels of digital trust (accelerated further by the pandemic), we're also becoming vulnerable to a new generation of frauds fueled by the very same technologies that benefit us. Advancements in image & voice recognition have led to attacks on digital authentication like deep-fake media. Social media has become vulnerable to programmatic fake identity creation & manipulative option harvesting. As more smart machines become part of our payments (from a smart-speaker to a smart-truck), they stand vulnerable to attacks on our money transfer infrastructure. The insurance industry itself, which protects us from such risks, has been exposed to new frauds fueled by the sharing economy, digital counterfeits & misrepresented digital claims. We will explore these dark territories of fraud & fraud prevention in the coming decade with a panel of experts in this webinar hosted by The Hive Think Tank with Avanta Ventures.

As CEO of InsurAnalytics.ai, Maneesh delivers AI powered insights to P&C Insurers. He is responsible for the organization's vision, strategic direction & alignment of organizational resources to enable a customer-centric approach & leads the company's operations globally. After spending more than two decades as a technologist in building analytics platforms, he believes AI has the power to achieve greater efficiency in business processes & augment human decision making. Earlier, Maneesh lead Saama technologys insurance analytics practice right from inception through exponential growth phases for nearly a decade, focused on helping insurers build data platforms & delivering differentiated insights to propel business growth & improve efficiencies using digitization in various functions like claims, policy, underwriting & customer centricity. Maneesh obtained his bachelors degree in Science from Delhi University & a Masters in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
Vivian Li - Principal, Avanta Ventures
As Principal at Avanta Ventures, Vivian loves working with entrepreneurs & learning from new business models. She wants to influence change in large companies through adopting new technologies & new ideas. Vivian started her career in management consulting at Deloitte Consulting, moved on to corporate strategy, acquisitions & venture capital at Hewlett Packard, Diebold & HTC working on challenges such as market entry, revenue expansion & technology adoption. She has also been an entrepreneur working in several operational roles at technology startups including VP of marketing at Retailigence, business intelligence at TopGolf & advisor to the chief innovation officer at CarVi. Vivian brings 4 legs of the stool: strategy, investments, acquisitions & entrepreneurial experience. Vivian has an MBA from The University of Chicago & an undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley.
Kamesh Raghavendra - Chief Product Officer, The Hive [MODERATOR]
Kamesh Raghavendra is Chief Product Officer of The Hive, a studio to co-create, fund & launches AI-powered enterprise startups. He works with entrepreneurs to address market segments in areas of privacy & security, applications, & blockchain, in the general enterprise industrials, financial services, insurance, & healthcare. Kamesh has a deep enterprise product background from a wide spectrum of roles across marketing, product management & product strategy at NetApp. He has led multiple strategic initiatives that created products & solutions for large enterprise customers during his product management stints. Before NetApp, Kamesh worked at Goldman Sachs on the mortgage-backed securities trading desk. Kamesh received his MBA degree from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore & undergrad B.Tech. degree in Computer Science & Engg. from IIT Madras.
