Returning lecturer Patrick Hunt explores the astonishing story of tzi, the Ice Mummy from 5,300 years ago. Dr. Hunt, alpine archaeologist & National Expeditions Expert, explores the perplexing life, medical condition, & demise of tzi, found by two hikers in 1991 at an elevation of 10,500 feet in a melting glacier on the Italian-Austrian border.The remarkable preservation of his mummy & belongings in the Sdtirol Museum, Bolzano, as well as the only authorized copy of the tzi mummy at Brooklyn's DNA Learning Center additionally provide details regarding the transition from Europe's Neolithic to Copper Age.
