Postman Collections as guardrails for AI agents that handle real money
Agents are systems that decide at runtime which APIs to call. When the API on the other end is your brokerage account, one moment that reasoning is a superpower; the next, it's a liability. "The model figured it out" stops being a highlight & starts being a problem. This talk walks through a working agent that researches catalysts for my Public.com portfolio, drafts trade proposals, & asks me for trade approval over Telegram before doing anything irreversible. Every tool the agent can call is a Postman Collection. Each proposal runs through a Postman test suite as a runtime guardrail before a human ever sees it. The same collections power the Postman MCP server, the Postman CLI, & the Collection Runner-one artifact, three surfaces. The result: Postman becomes the contract layer that makes agents safe enough to handle real money.
