Smart City Expo USA x Brooklyn Navy Yard Working Waterfront Tour
**Tour starts & ends at Building 92 (Flushing Avenue at Carlton Avenue)
Visit the Brooklyn Navy Yard & explore its working waterfront. The tour will begin at Building 92 with an overview of the Yard's 220+ year legacy of industry & innovation in the historic exhibition, Brooklyn Navy Yard: Past, Present & Future.
Next, participants will head into the Yard for a walking tour that includes views of working dry docks, new construction on the water, & historic Dry Dock No. 1.
The tour will conclude with a step inside Newlab with a focus on its climate tech & energy tech businesses. Building 92 is just a 4-minute walk from Building 77, which is a great place to grab lunch & black & white cookies from Russ & Daughters before your tour.
Getting to the Yard: You can arrive at the Yard via the NYC Ferry Astoria Line or by using NYC public transit. The F train at York Street is a 20-minute walk from Building 92. At the F train, you can also transfer to the B69 bus, which stops in front of Building 92. There are also Citi Bike docking stations at & around the Yard. If you are taking a car service, have them drop you off at the Cumberland Gate (Cumberland Street & Flushing Avenue). Please note, there is no on-site parking.
