Reboot the Earth is heading to New York City on May 29 & 30!
Organized by UN Office for Information & Communications Technology, & co-hosted by the Food & Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO), Carnegie Mellon University, Digital Public Goods Alliance (DPGA), & Salesforce, Reboot the Earth is a social coding event that brings a diverse group together to improve or build technology solutions addressing the current climate crisis. This year's challenges will focus on Agriculture & AI.
Who should attend?
Reboot the Earth is committed to hosting a diverse & inclusive event. As inheritors of our planet, we especially want to involve members of the youth community. We encourage young computer programmers, developers, admins, architects, & those familiar with Salesforce ecosystems to participate, especially those with an interest in building technology that can advance the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
Can I still attend if I don't know anything about writing code?
Absolutely! Bringing an idea to life takes much more than just a skilled developer, & there are so many ways to contribute to an open source project that has nothing to do with writing code. The beauty of a hack-a-thon is that we all come together to work toward the same goal. You can help define use cases & best practices or help to simplify hard-to-grasp concepts. You can share your personal & professional experiences to help craft user stories & persona criteria. You can write documentation, or even help test a new tool. Your level of coding or configuration experience is not a barrier!
Don't miss this opportunity to collaborate with others on innovative solutions to the climate crisis!
