ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS

Josh Appelbaum is a Sales Development & Inside Sales leader with a focus on building and growing high-performance sales cultures. As the Associate Director of Sales Development @ Argyle Executive Forum, Josh leads a team of 6 SDRs tasked with generating demand for Argyles premium event sponsorship packages. Josh was one of Argyles early sales hires and was instrumental in structuring the inside sales org after the Predictable Revenue model, similar to many high-growth SaaS companies. Most recently, Joshs team delivered 40% YoY organic revenue growth and have helped land clients like HP, Microsoft, and Fitbit.Prior to managing Argyles SDR team, Josh was an SDR Team Lead a role which included both management and individual contributor responsibilities. Before building out Argyles SDR team, Josh became the companys first SDR after working on the Data & Analytics team supporting Argyles revenue org. Previously, Joshs sales career began in residential real estate.Josh earned his bachelors degree in Psychology from The University of Vermont and lives in Brooklyn.

Joel Rodriguez is a sales leader and entrepreneur with experience building effective teams and a track record of delivering new business and month-over-month sales growth. Joel is currently Senior Director of Sales at Persado, an NYC-based marketing technology startup. Before Persado, Joel was Head of Sales at SumAll, an NYC-based marketing analytics company, where he started and built an inside sales team of 5 that booked the company's first $1M in ARR. Before SumAll, he was cofounder & CEO of Acquaintable, a venture-backed startup in the online dating space that enables people to meet friends-of-friends. Acquaintable was acquired by Reveal (formerly LikeBright) in November 2013. Previously, Joel was an Associate at Commonwealth Capital Ventures, where he participated in all aspects of the investment cycle and worked on projects with portfolio company CEOs. Prior to joining Commonwealth, he was a Senior Associate Consultant in the New York office of Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm. Joel graduated Cum Laude from Duke University in 2006 with a B.S. in economics.
