Talk Title: Trust the Agent, Verify the Code
AI coding agents are changing how teams work, but knowing when to trust the output is still on you. In this talk, we walk through a practical developer workflow built around Cortex Code, Snowflake's AI coding agent for developers. We'll cover how to use it to accelerate development across SQL, Python, & your full data stack, then how to evaluate what it produces before you ship.
We'll highlight the Agent GPA framework (Goals, Plans, Actions) so you have a quantitative way to assess agent behavior, not just vibe-check the output. We'll also pull back the curtain on the architecture so you understand what's actually happening under the hood when your agent runs, including how MCP, the orchestrator, & the LLM proxy all fit together. Lastly, we'll cover the security considerations you need on your radar before going to production.
By the end of our session you'll have a concrete workflow: generate with the agent, evaluate with confidence, & commit knowing what you're shipping.
