YaleFin, the shared interest group for Yale alumni in finance, banking, & markets is pleased to present the first in a two part series of panel discussions on family offices. These private wealth management vehicles manage investments & assets for high net worth individuals, & they carry unique advantages & challenges with respect to customization, flexibility, & privacy. Please join us for an evening of refreshments & heavy hors d'oeuvres, courtesy of our co-sponsor UBS Wealth Management, as we delve into this rapidly growing niche.
We will host David Teten (Founder, Versatile Venture Capital; Yale College) moderating a conversation with Michael Inwald, Managing Director, Crocker Mountain Capital, & Jane Chen, Investor, Blue 9 Capital.
We will have brief introductory remarks from leaders of our partner Yale organizations.
Among other topics, our panel will discuss:
Unique tax & structural needs of the family office
Cultural issues in managing assets across generations
Definitional issues: who counts as a family member?
Working with the family office community
We will finish with an audience Q&A & open the floor to mingle over refreshments & heavy hors d'oeuvres.
