An event dedicated to exploring all things AI Engineering!
Event partners: Oracle & Datadog
Agenda
5:30 pm - 5:40 pm
Welcome & Opening Remarks
Marijan Cipcic, Principal Events Manager at Daytona
5:40 pm - 6:00 pm
Talk "Kubernetes Is Not Your Sandbox"
Ivan Burazin, Co-Founder & CEO of Daytona
Outline:
Teams are reaching for Kubernetes to run agent sandboxes, & it's the wrong tool. Kubernetes is built to keep things alive & hold them in a steady state. A sandbox is born, forked, & killed before any of that machinery catches up.
The mismatch compounds because the sandbox keeps gaining requirements without shedding any. In eighteen months it went from a fast code-snippet runner, to a stateful box for long-running agents, to ten thousand ephemeral environments that fork for RL rollouts & die in under a second. It has to be all of those at once, a contradiction set no orchestrator was designed to hold.
The cost shows up the moment you measure it. We ran the same 50-action bug-fix trajectory across five stacks & got a 12x spread: 12.9s on the fastest, 161.5s on the slowest. The gap isn't compute, it's lifecycle overhead per action. We name every stack & explain the mechanism behind each number.
6:00 pm - 6:20 pm
Talk "Architecture of Tomorrow: Why OCI"
Anu Srivastava, Director - Cloud Engineering at Oracle & Jeremy Mendez, Principal Cloud Architect - AI Cloud Services, Oracle
Outline:
Cloud infrastructure is evolving rapidly as organizations face increasing demands for performance, scalability, data sovereignty, & AI workloads. In this session, we'll take a practical look at how Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is addressing these challenges through its architecture & platform capabilities.
We'll explore OCI's networking & performance architecture, global infrastructure footprint, & growing AI ecosystem, including support for leading foundation models. We'll also discuss different approaches to building AI-powered applications, from training custom models to deploying & integrating pre-trained models into existing systems.
This talk aims to provide architectural insights, lessons learned, & real-world considerations for engineers, architects, & technology leaders evaluating cloud platforms for modern workloads.
6:20 pm - 6:40 pm
Talk "TBA"
Speaker from Datadog - TBA
Outline:

6:40 pm - 6:50 pm
Talk "How AI Changes CI"
Aayush Shah, Co-Founder at Blacksmith
Outline:
AI has exploded the volume of code hitting CI - more agents, more PRs, more tests - & more waiting. Blacksmith is building the infrastructure layer that keeps up: faster machines, smarter storage, & a coding agent that fixes failing checks so your PRs stay green. Come hear how the AI generating all this code can also keep CI from becoming the bottleneck.
6:50 pm - 8:30 pm
