NYCxDesign Week: NYDesigns Designers Lunch is not a linguistics game, its a lunch featuring design entrepreneurs taking the world by storm with innovative works of love & passion.
Product designers, researchers, entrepreneurs, creators, & rockstar Long Island City residents will engage in an afternoon of design inspiration methods. Moderated by Allie Stambaugh, NYDesigns Operations Manager, guests will learn the design process from our three guest panelists.

About the Panelists
Leslie DavolCo-founder & Executive Director
Leslie Davol is co-founder & Executive Director of Street Lab, a nonprofit organization best known for its work as The UniProject, providing open-air reading rooms, drawing stations, & other custom-designed portable learning environments to public spaces across NewYork City. Prior to starting Street Lab, Leslie's career was in museums & cultural planning.

I am the grand prizewinner of $1,000, Capital One's Student Design Entrepreneur Challenge for 2012 to help me launch my custom leather bags . After getting my associate degree in Accounting major from LaGuardia Community College on June 2014, I decided to rent a working office at NYDesigns incubator where I can manufacture my bags & meet my clients. I am an alumni of 10,000 Small Business-Tory Burch early stage program, February 2016. And E-Commerce awarded from QEDC -2016.
On December 2017 , I graduated from Brooklyn College,Master degree-Business Administration & Management.

Nga Nguyen is the Principal Experience Design Strategist atVisionFwd. She draws her experience from an interdisciplinary practice of human-centered design that sits at the intersection of business, design, & technology for various industries from fashion/e-commerce, media/entertainment to healthcare/wellness for both large institutions & startups. As a principal Experience Design Strategist, her work encompasses research, ideation, future casting for digital platforms hardware-enabled software for smart devices.

How do I get to NYDesigns?
Parking is slim. We would not recommend driving. You can take the E/G/M/7 to Court Square or the E/F/M/R to Queens Plaza. It is about a 15 minute walk over to our location from either station.

What's the refund policy?
Space is very limited so our refund policy is strict. Full refund will only be granted if request is made 48 hours in advance. Email info@nydesigns.org to request a refund.
