Back for our EIGHTH annual event, Marketplace of the Future is a new take on the 1939 New York World's Fair, which was dubbed The World of Tomorrow & featured new inventions such as the fluorescent light bulb, air-conditioning, & television.
We're here to show climate solutions in the same light - novel now, normal soon.
FIrst thing's first. We're beyond honored & grateful for our 2024 event host SPLASHLIGHT STUDIOS. Splashlight is a world-class content creation studio that is leveraging its capabilities to uplift the climate movement. So yes, our partnership is like PB&J.

Exhibition Hall: Dozens of exhibitors showcasing a spectrum of climate solutions from vegan ice cream, to circular fashion, to satellites beaming solar energy from space!
Panel Discussions: Enjoy conversations with inspiring leaders like Seth Godin, orgs like Project Drawdown, & youth leaders like Queer Brown Vegan.
Community Room: A special location within MOTF dedicated to community organizers, activists, & special practitioners featuring Wawa Gatheru, Black Girl Environmentalist, Zero Waste Workshops, & more.
Networking Opportunities: Engage a room of 1,000 peers, start-up professionals, designers, educators, students, & potential collaborators during our day-long event.
Live Music: The climate vibe will be elevated by smooth jazz being played all-day & special performances after sunset.
Food & Drinks: The Marketplace of the Future strives to keep the vibes & camaraderie high. Enjoy an OPEN BAR selection of conscious alcoholic & n/a beverages.
Zero-Waste Stations: Marketplace of the Future is ensuring all of our waste is either reused, donated, recycled, or composted, sending little to nothing to landfill. Expect to find circularity guides at each waste station to help you sort & return your items properly.
Climate Film Festival, Winners Screening: Come watch the winners of 2024 Climate Film Festival, the largest festival of its kind in New York City. Films will be screened throughout the day, each followed by a special panel.

1pm: The Clean Path to Renewables in New York: Community Engagement in the Clean Energy Transition. Moderated by Jacob Simon.
2pm: It's Not Too Late: A Fireside chat with MOTF Founder, Amer Jandali, & Seth Godin.
3pm - 6pm: Creative Career Mini Summit: Creatives for Climate in collaboration with Green Jobs Board will discuss how to navigate career transitions, harness creativity for climate action, & explore the future of your industry.
6pm: Splashlight Studios Future of Fashion conversation
7pm: Stand-up for Humans: a Live standup comedy on climate

1pm: Peace Boat hosting an open space to discuss their NEW Peace Boat that will hit the waters in 2025 as well as the global youth movement behind it.
2pm - 3:30pm: Wawa Gatheru & Black Girl Environmentalist will host a panel on their Hazel M. Johnson Program, highlighting fellow experiences & opportunities for new partner companies to get involved in the future cohort.
3:30pm - 5pm: Human Impacts Institute
5pm: Flourish, an amazing new data visualization tool, will host a workshop about the role of data storytelling in accelerating climate action.

6pm: Climate x Nightlife Panel. Co-Hosted by Future Meets Present & Sound Future, this conversation will include multiple stakeholders working on various aspects of leveraging nightlife's culture-changing capacity to accelerate climate goals. Featuring The House of Yes, NYC Office of Nightlife, Billion Oyster Project, & Elsewhere.
7pm: How Music Fuels Climate Action: We'll hear about how the music world has already begun to drive change, including through the EarthPercent initiative Sounds Right, which allows nature to generate royalties & support its conservation. We'll also hear from the team behind Climate Live: global youth-led concerts & festival campaigns to engage a new audience in the climate movement.
