Alex Zhou is a Chinese-born entrepreneur based in California, US. He is the founder & CEO of Yami, a private company that has grown to become a leading online Asian marketplace with over two million customers & over 300,000 SKUs of Asian snacks, food, beauty & health products, home appliances, books, & more. Alex's entrepreneurial journey began when he noticed a gap in the market while attending college in the US, where he & other Asian students lacked easy access to Asian products. His vision to provide access to these products has resulted in Yami's remarkable success, which is backed by top venture capitals including GGV Capital, Altos Ventures, & JP Morgan. Alex leads a team of 500 employees across the US, China, & Japan, & continues to innovate & expand Yami's reach in the E-commerce industry.
