Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud is an extension of the IBM Cloud Kubernetes Service, where IBM manages OpenShift Container Platform for you.

With Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud developers have a fast & secure way to containerize & deploy enterprise workloads in Kubernetes clusters. OpenShift clusters build on Kubernetes container orchestration that offers consistency & flexibility for your development lifecycle operations.

In this workshop we will show you how to create your own OpenShift cluster on the IBM Cloud, how to use the oc CLI (command line interface) & how to use the OpenShift Web Console to deploy applications.

**In order to run these workshops, you need an IBM Cloud account**

About the Presenter

Nigel is a Developer Advocate for IBM Cloud based in New York City. Originally from South Carolina, he was drawn to craft of software engineering because of the agency it provides to create & interact with worlds of his own creation. His passions in technology are community building, High Performance Computing, & free & open-source software (and hardware). His current favorite project is Alexandra Sunderland's SMS Internet (https://dev.to/twilio/using-twilio-to-build-the-internet-2cnf) due to the incredible problem solving involved.
