Co-hosted by Bora Chang, Director, Sustainability & Community Impact Communications, Natural Resources Defense Council & Neelambaree Prasad, Founder, ClimArts & Carlos Rojas Alvarez, Director, Strategic Initiatives, Decolonizing Wealth Project & Eva Brander Blackhawk, Program Associate, Decolonizing Wealth Project.
This workshop invites participants to examine the colonial legacies embedded in mainstream climate action & explore pathways toward a more just, community-rooted climate movement. Through dialogue & interactive exercises, we will unpack how power, culture, & history shape environmental narratives & practices. Participants will engage with frameworks for decolonial thinking, share knowledge across cultures, & explore strategies for building authentic, reciprocal partnerships that honor Indigenous leadership, frontline communities, & local wisdom in climate justice work.
