Join The New York Climate Exchange & Latinxs in Sustainability-alongside professionals across urban ecology & planning-for a dynamic breakfast & discussion exploring sustainability through the lens of the Latinx community. This intersectional conversation will explore how identity & lived experience shape our relationship with the environment.
With a focus on urban forestry & environmental justice, the panel will examine disparities in green space access, community health outcomes, & environmental policy. Together, we'll reimagine sustainability as inclusive, culturally rooted, & led by the voices of those most impacted. Comunidad y cultura will come to life through an interactive papel picado activity.
Set against the backdrop of Governors Island, this gathering offers a moment of reflection & reconnection at the close of Climate Week NYC, & serves as an early celebration of Latinx Heritage Month. The event will spotlight Latinx sustainability leaders driving change across New York City & offer meaningful networking opportunities to build community & spark collaboration.
