Join us for an evening of insight into AI's role as a memory machine. Discover how understanding AI's limitations can unlock artistic possibilities & gain fresh perspectives on our evolving relationship with technology, creativity, & personal history. Our speaker is Dr. Lev Manovich, an artist, writer, & one of the most influential theorists of digital art & culture in the world. He is a Presidential Professor at The Graduate Center, City University of New York, & the author of many books including AI Aesthetics, Cultural Analytics, Instagram & Contemporary Image, & The Language of New Media. His most recent book is Artificial Aesthetics: Generative AI, Art & Visual Media. Manovich's presentation will draw on ideas in his book & his recent art projects that explore the use of AI as a new medium for representing personal memory & history.
