Every day, millions of pounds of good food end up in the landfill while more & more families face food insecurity. Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) addresses this problem by rescuing & donating this surplus food to nonprofit recipients. Our rescue operations rely on a nationwide network of dedicated volunteers who donate their time to making sure food reaches those in need. The incredible coordination of food recovery groups make this food recovery possible, & innovative technology can make food rescue even more efficient.
Join us for an evening to discuss how tools such as AI, robot-assisted transportation, & app-based operations can identify gaps in coverage & help respond to communities that need it most. We will also explore how tech-assisted food recovery is playing a role in long-term solutions for mitigating climate change
