This Thursday, we'll be in MusicBox 5411.
We will use the pandas library which comes with the Anaconda distribution which is the recommended procedure for installing: https://www.anaconda.com/download/Pandas' installation guide offers instructions for those who do not want to install Anaconda (https://pandas.pydata.org/pandas-docs/stable/install.html).
NYC Python co-organizer, Tobias Schraink, will walk us through a tutorial on how to clean a spreadsheet! We have all had it happen - someone sends us a spreadsheet that was not filled with you, the programmer in mind. THE DATA IS ALL OVER THE PLACE! But fear not! Together we will learn a couple of common patterns for dealing with data like this. You can download the spreadsheet from github (https://github.com/tobsecret/deus-excel-machina).
