Food Tank, Organic Valley, & The James Beard Foundation present "Chefs Change the World" at Climate Week NYC on Sept 26th, 2025
On Friday, September 26th, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, join us at WNYC-NPR Studios' The Greene Space in New York City for an exclusive, invitation-only event as part of Climate Week NYC. Hosted by Food Tank, Organic Valley, & The James Beard Foundation, this event will bring together leading experts to explore how chefs are shaping a more sustainable food future.

The day will begin with a delicious thematic breakfast, curated in collaboration with Great Performances, alongside live music. The program will feature insightful discussions on how restaurants are driving positive change in the world. The event will conclude with a thematic lunch, also catered by Great Performances, providing another opportunity for networking & continued conversation.
Confirmed speakers & performers include Ruth Reichl, food writer & editor; former restaurant critic (Los Angeles Times & The New York Times), EditorinChief at Gourmet magazine, & sixtime James Beard Award winner; Florence Fabricant, food & wine writer, The New York Times; Eric Adjepong, chef, television personality, & author best known for his standout appearances on Top Chef & as the host of shows on Food Network & HGTV; Priya Krishna, Journalist, The New York Times; Clare Reichenbach, CEO, James Beard Foundation; Sheryll Durrant, urban farmer, educator, & food-justice leader; Board President, Just Food & NYC New Roots; Melissa Clark, food writer, cookbook author, & New York Times columnist; Miguel Guerra, Chef at Mita, is committed to celebrating Mexican culinary traditions while advancing sustainable & community-rooted food systems; Joshua McFadden, James Beard Award-winning chef & restaurateur known for seasonal cooking & sustainable food practices; Priyanka Naik, Food Network champion & sustainability advocate known for her globally inspired cooking; Anne McBride, Vice President of Programs, James Beard Foundation; Geoffrey Kie, Indigenous chef & founder of Kie's Pies from the Pueblo of Laguna; Samantha Sackin, Organic Valley; Rob Rubba, Chef & Co-Owner, Oyster Oyster; Abbie Corse, sixth-generation organic dairy farmer at The Corse Farm Dairy in Whitingham, Vermont; & Ingrid Hoffmann, chef & host of Top Chef Estrellas (Telemundo/NBC), Simply Delicioso(Cooking Channel), & Delicioso (Univision), & Advisor to "The Humans Who Feed Us."
Special musical performance by Brandon Burks, currently performing in the Broadway revival of Gypsy, alongside fellow vocal group Penthouse IV members James Caleb Grice, whose credits include the national tours of The Prom & Aladdin & the 2025 Off-Broadway revival of Heathers: The Musical; Mel Haygood, who has performed in Legally Blonde: The Musical at Stumptown Stages & in cabaret shows at 54 Below in New York; & Brandon J. Large, who appeared on Broadway in The Great Gatsby (2024) & in the national tours of The Prom & Aladdin. They will be accompanied on piano by Adam Cole Klepper, Associate Music Director, Associate Conductor, & pianist for the Broadway revival of Gypsy.
