For many, fundraising is the hardest part of building a startup & navigating the fundraising process is daunting. You may find yourself wondering if the venture route is right for you & your business, asking yourself questions like, how much money do I raise? Whats the best way to connect with the right investors? How do I close a round with multiple investors? And how can I strategically plan a future that makes sense for the business, as well as a new set of stakeholders?

If youre fundraising (or considering VC), join us on March 25th at Betaworks Studios for our panel & pitch night! Learn if VC is the smartest option for you & how to secure early-stage funding.

Well discuss:

-Considering whether the venture path is right for your startup=
-Valuing your company
-Deciding how much to raise
-Understanding common mistakes & pitfalls in fundraising
-Creating the right pitch
-Negotiating

-Sutian Dong is a leader in early-stage venture capital & a vocal proponent of diversity across startups, funds, & the limited partner ecosystem. She is currently working on a new project that will redefine access to capital across the entire funding stack and, at scale, has the potential to solve the diversity imbalance that currently exists in the billions of dollars invested in technology companies every year. She is also the cofounder of the Global Women in VC community, a group of almost 2,000 female investors across over 1,000 funds & 50 countries. As the largest directory of female investors worldwide, the community serves as the foundational dataset for women to connect, collaborate, & create new opportunities to invest with & work alongside each other. Sutian was most recently a Partner at Female Founders Fund, an early stage fund investing in the exponential power of exceptional female talent.
