In her role as chief content officer at Audible, Rachel Ghiazza oversees the company's global content strategy & is a dynamic force behind Audible's innovation & investment in original programming, which has garnered international recognition & acclaim.

Rachel joined Audible in 2019 & most recently served as executive vice president & head of U.S. Content. During her tenure leading Audible's U.S. content team, she helped grow Audible as the leading creator of premium audio storytelling content, developing new genre-bending categories & forging unique collaborations with leading creative voices. She is committed to ensuring that Audible content represents people across a diverse range of backgrounds, & has built long-standing relationships with renowned artists, working to amplify underrepresented voices in the entertainment industry.

Rachel has charted the path for Audible's explosive growth of original content, meeting the challenge of a rapidly shifting audio programming & consumer subscription model landscape. Her accomplishments include supporting the launch & development of Audible Plus; developing in-house brands such as Audible Theater & Words + Music; the launch of Dolby Atmos on Audible; & leading Audible's multiproject collaborations with entertainment industry powerhouses such as Barack & Michelle Obama's production company Higher Ground, Robert Kirkman's Skybound Entertainment, & James Patterson Entertainment. Under her stewardship, Audible content has won some of the most prestigious awards in media, including duPont-Columbia, Walkley, Rose D'Or, Gracie, & George Polk - & has been named Podcast Company of the Year once by the Webbys & twice by the Signal Awards. In 2024, Rachel was named one of Variety's 500 most influential business leaders shaping the global media industry. She has been featured in The New York Times, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Wall Street Journal, & more.

Prior to Audible, Rachel held a variety of roles at Spotify, including leading the Global Content Experiences team, & was a key contributor to Spotify's global growth & success. She has also held leadership roles in the Content teams at Viacom & Yahoo!. She has a background in information systems & broad experience in content strategy, development, & acquisition for music, video, TV & podcasts. She has an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California.
