Maritime Global Technologies Innovation Center (MGTIC) will host a "Reverse Pitch" session at the SUNY Maritime College campus on Thursday, March 15, 2018.The Reverse Pitch will be composed of established maritime industrypublic/private firms & organizations seeking innovative solutions from emerging young companies.
Maritimefirms pitch to entrepreneurs the critical needs they have to address enduring pain points, challenges & potential ideas for change.The specific areas included:
SHIPPING - equipment, technology, design,insurance, finance, regulatory & legal compliance,commercial & passenger.
PORTS - terminal & site management, operations,cargo movement, warehousing, offshore activities.
LAND-BASED - documentation, law, brokers, freightforwarders, chartering, beneficial cargo owners,passengers, cybersecurity, blockchain initiatives,forecasting, automation, etc. additional topics?
This involves all aspects of the maritime ecosystem including digital & non-digital industries. Entrepreneurs gain insight into specific requirements & build networks with industry innovators. Maritime interests get to source solutions from startups with unique skills.

Buzz surrounding our March 15th Reverse Pitch, not to mention attendance, has been growing at an explosive rate! We're looking to connect & catalyze the New York Maritime Community, & who better to help than some of the most recent additions to our line up of reverse pitchers:
Anthony Patti is Vice President at Duff & Phelps in the global Cybersecurity Services Practice where he's responsible for business development & client relations. He'll be pitching on maritime CYBERSECURITY pain points.
Scott K. Parry is a Senior Marine Risk Consultant for Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty where he specializes in transportation, warehousing & cargo security risks. His pitch will cover MARINE RISK.
Matt Guasco is an International transport consultant with over 35 years of experience in ocean, air, & surface cargo. He creates & maintains supply chain programs for clients with both international & domestic freight. On March 15th he'll be looking at INTERMODAL PORT APPLICATIONS.
