Codex Community Mini-Hackathon, San Francisco With Guest Judge from OpenAI / OpenAI Codex
Join us in San Francisco for a fast, high-energy Codex Community Mini-Hackathon designed for builders, founders, engineers, creatives, operators, students, & curious people who want to explore how ChatGPT & Codex can help people build faster.
This is a 2.5-hour community-style mini-hackathon, not a long traditional hackathon.
The goal is simple: meet interesting people, form connections, exchange ideas, build or present something practical with Codex, & pitch it in front of judges from the OpenAI / Codex & startup community.
A guest judge from OpenAI or OpenAI Codex will be announced soon.
Our recent Community Meetup was on April 16, 2026
Who Should Attend?
This event is open to everyone:
This event is open to everyone:
builders, founders, coders, non-coders, students, creators, & anyone curious about using ChatGPT & Codex to build faster.
No coding background is required.
However, because this is a very short mini-hackathon, we strongly recommend coming prepared with an idea, a rough concept, a small project, or a problem you want to solve.
If you want to create a project during the event, you will have only a short time to find a team & build something.
Important Rule
All teams must use ChatGPT & Codex during the hackathon. This event is focused on practical AI-assisted building using ChatGPT & Codex.
What to Expect
What to Expect
Expect a warm, interactive, community-driven evening with networking, short introductions, team formation, a fast Codex build sprint, project pitches, judge feedback, prizes, professional photos, & new connections.
!! This is not a passive event !!
Every attendee will be invited to give a short 30-second introduction, so everyone becomes part of the experience.
Please come ready to briefly share:
your name, what you do, what you are curious about, & what kind of project or team you would like to join.
You will leave with:
new contacts, fresh ideas, a better understanding of Codex, community energy, & a chance to win special prizes.
Join us for an evening all about Codex - OpenAI's coding agent that helps you build & ship faster. Whether you're already using Codex or just curious about coding agents, this is your chance to meet the team, connect with peers, & explore how AI is transforming the way we build software.
