The Waterfront Alliance's annual Waterfront Conference - now in its 16th year - is the region's premier forum exploring the challenges of & solutions to climate change, sustaining a strong maritime industry & regional economy, equitable access at our waterfronts & to our shared waterways, & a healthier open-space environment.
The window is still open to prevent the most severe impacts of climate change & ensure we are prepared for its outcomes. Funding is available now more than it has been in decades & the opportunity to take implementation to the next level is here.
The 2023 Waterfront Conference takes a deep look at what we can accomplish, & the best practices & strategies for implementation. Themes include climate resilience & sustainability implementation; resilient infrastructure; the central role of ports & the maritime industry in the future of the region & for sustainability; the needs & challenges of the offshore wind sector; commitments to the most vulnerable & environmental justice communities; & ensuring best practices in planning, programs, & decision making.
Hundreds of civic & business leaders, planners, engineers, architects, designers, activists, professors, & students will participate. Please see waterfrontalliance.org/waterfront-conference for program & sponsorship information.
