Can AI Achieve Consciousness?
As artificial intelligence becomes more sophisticated, weaving itself into the fabric of our daily lives, one of the most profound questions of our time emerges: Can a machine ever be conscious?
This salon is a conversation about AI, consciousness, & what it means to be human in a technological age.
We'll will grapple with the elusive nature of consciousness itself. What does it mean to be aware? To have subjective experience? Is consciousness simply a complex computation, or is there something more?
We will explore the landscape of AI-how it is built, how we use it, & where its capabilities end. How is our relationship with technology shaping our own human experience & sense of self?

Our discussion will be anchored by Federico Faggin's radical hypothesis-that consciousness is not a product of the universe, but fundamental to it, & the idea that the cosmos itself may be self-aware.
This salon is a space to explore how our lives & experiences are evolving in a world increasingly dominated by intelligent technology. Bring your curiosity, your questions, & an open mind.
This event is hosted by Pearl Social, a curated community for intellectuals. Members get priority RSVP.
