Meet your instructor
With a background in digital design spanning 17 years, Jason Grant has a wide range of experience ranging from startups to agencies. He's taken on a variety of design challenges in healthcare, finance & conversational interfaces. A strong believer in the power of design to make positive change, Jason explores design for sustainable systems in his spare time. When he's off teaching duties, Jason is probably at a life drawing session or checking off places on his want to go list on Google Maps.
Jason is a Lead Instructor for our in-person full-time UX/UI design immersive program.
Arrive + Check In
Our check-in will open at 6:00PM - make sure to arrive by 6:30PM!
We'll hear what user experience (UX) designers actually do (and don't do).
Time to think like a designer
In small groups, you'll work to redesign the experience of your daily commute using the tools of a UX designer, supported by the expertise of our design instructors.
Share your ideas!
We'll go around the room & share what we came up with to make our commute experience better.
Feel free to ask Jason any questions you have about being a designer, breaking into the field, or the Flatiron School experience.
See you next time!
We'll end at 8:30pm, but look forward to seeing you back at our next event on campus.
