TODD RUBACK
Managing Director, FTI Consulting
Todd Ruback is a managing director in the Information Governance, Privacy & Security group at FTI Consulting. He has worked in the privacy industry as a lawyer, chief privacy officer, or consultant since 2007. In 2012 he joined a privacy start-up called Ghostery, as the chief privacy officer, serving as the company's ambassador to the privacy industry.
Over the past 15 years, Todd has worked with corporations, policy makers, & regulators alike to protect consumer data & allow organizations to fully compete in the digital economy. As privacy & data protection laws have emerged globally, he has helped organizations solve difficult privacy issues, while still empowering them to create new & innovative products. He has spoken before congressional sub-committees & the EU Parliament on surveillance technologies & the benefits & challenges posed by the complex world of Advertising Technologies.
However, his greatest career achievement has been mentoring & coaching the next generation of privacy leaders, many of whom are now assuming senior roles in the industry.
Todd is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) & the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA) Privacy Committee, & was a cofounder of the ABA Privacy Bar. He received his J.D. at the University of Denver, Strum College of Law.
